There are some materials that you might want to start collecting before Version 1.5 is released. This article will list the materials you need for Yanfei and Zhongli on the upcoming banner, as well as the materials required for the crafting of furniture in the housing system.
For all the enemy materials required, you can refer to the MiHoYo official map of Teyvat here, where you can see the location of various enemies throughout the map. Although the map is in Mandarin, there are icons next to the words to help you easily identify what you're looking for. You can also use this map to find the specific locations of Local Specialties and you can read my guide on routes for obtaining certain specialties here. Alternatively, you can use the book in your game itself to search for specific enemies.
Yanfei
These are all the required materials for Yanfei's build. You can get Raven Insignias from Treasure Hoarders and the Agnidus Agates from defeating the Pyro Regisvine. The Crown of Insight can be purchased from events, including the upcoming Energy Amplifier event that you can read more about here. The Juvenile Jade is earned through defeating the Primo Geovishap boss, giving 2 or 3 each time at higher levels. The Bloodjade Branch, however, is currently unavailable in the game. The Bloodjade Branch will be given after defeating the new weekly boss, Azhdaha. Talent books (Gold) can be obtained from the Taishan Mansion domain on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Zhongli
These are all the required materials for Zhongli's build. You can get Slime Condensate from all slimes and the Prithiva Topaz from defeating the Geo Hypostasis. The Crown of Insight can be purchased from events, including the upcoming Energy Amplifier event that you can read more about here. The Basalt Pillars is earned through defeating the Geo Hypostasis as well, giving 2 or 3 each time at higher levels. The Tusk of Monoceros Caeli will be given after defeating Tartaglia in the weekly Golden House challenge. Talent books (Gold) can be obtained from the Taishan Mansion domain on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Housing System
Crafting materials and furniture for your house require Fabric, Blue Dye, Red Dye, Yellow Dye and varied types of wood. Since we are currently unable to source wood before the 1.5 Version goes live, you can look for the other materials for now! As seen in the infographic above, several limited materials are required to make each material.
Since many tend to place materials like Sunsettias, Mint, Berries etc. into the Parametric Transformer, you might want to refrain from using these for now and using low-level enemy materials that you do not require instead, so that you will have enough for crafting furniture! Do note that this information is subject to changes, as the required materials (apart from Iron and White Iron) are from leaks.
Fabric
Fabric is used for making lanterns and is definitely something you should start grinding. Silk flowers are currently only available near Wangshu Inn and at Liyue Harbour itself. If you start grinding now, this will ensure that you have enough for all your required materials.
Blue Dye
Blue Dye uses Mint and Wolfhook. While Mint is largely available throughout Teyvat, Wolfhook can only be found around Wolvendom, something you might want to look for on your weekly Boreas fights.
Red Dye
Red Dye requires Valberries, Carrots and Sunsettias. Carrots can be found easily around Dawn Winery or purchased in general good stores, while Valberries are found near Stormbearer Point.
Yellow Dye
Yellow Dye needs Berries and Cor Lapis. Since Berries are more widely available in Teyvat, you might want to use berries instead of Cor Lapis that can be used as Keqing and Zhongli's ascension materials.
Other Materials
You will also need Iron and White Iron Chunks to craft furniture. You can refer to the MiHoYo map (also linked above) for locations of these ores.
The information with regards to Fabric and Dyes is subject to changes and since the official information about the other 4 star characters on the banner is not yet released, I will not be covering that in this article. We hope that you found this guide helpful and do let us know if there are more guides you would like to read!
