The Best Champions in Patch 11.12
Top Lane:
Mundo
With the new rework to our beloved monster, we might see him rise no only in popularity but in win rate as well. Only time will tell, but with a lot of strong item choices, we might be seeing the era of Doctor Mundo.
Illaoi
Illaoi was scheduled to receive some buffs, but with the changes to her core items, they were postponed to this patch. She is a very strong champion already, especially with Divine Sunderer, and now she can spam her abilities even more with the buff to her mana growth from 40 per level to 50 per level. Be scared of her. Really.
Malphite
With both buffs to Malphite and nerfs to Gnar which counters him pretty hard, we could be seeing the rise of our Rock Solid champion. He already packs a punch, while going full tank and adding more damage into his W scaling with armor, we might be one-shotted not only by AP Malphite but also by the tank variant.
Jungle:
Jarvan IV
Jarvan received a buff to his W ability, which will allow him to clear the jungle with more survivability. He gets his cooldown reduced from 12 seconds to 9 which is a huge buff, considering you are maxing this ability last.
Rammus
With the jungle changes coming in this patch, we might see a lot more AD Junglers that struggled over the last few months. Rammus is a perfect counter to those picks, and with Turbo Chemtank, he can be an amazing engage machine, that reflects damage to the attackers.
Mid Lane:
Irelia
On-Hit Irelias Is making her way up the tier list, with Immortal Shieldbow as her first item, complimented by either Blade of The Ruined King or Wit’s End. With the cost reduction of Rageblade, her third item rush will be even faster, and Irelia might dominate squishy champions in the mid-lane.
Katarina
Even though her movement speed is decreased in this patch, Katarina will be still on the top of the tier lists, especially in lower divisions. Her Damage output is insane, and she is a very mobile champion with multiple ways to reset the cooldown on her abilities. On-hit builds are the go-to builds for Katarina, with Nashor’s Tooth and Lich Bane.
Bot Lane:
Vayne
Another champion that might make use of On-Hit builds. We saw buffs to Wit’s End in the last patch, and right now Rageblade gets its cost reduced by 200 gold which is much more than it looks. It might make Vayne a top-tier pick once more on the bot lane, especially against more tanky team compositions.
Ezreal
Ezreal is one of my all-time favorite picks, and with the buffs for Divine Sunderer and Frozen Heart, his win rate is rising in all ranks. He is a very safe pick, with a lot of damage in his kit, especially with the huge amount of Ability Haste. He can spam his abilities left and right. In addition, mythic passive for Divine Sunderer has a great synergy with Ezreal's abilities, with both physical and magic scaling. He can greatly benefit from magic penetration and armor penetration.
Support:
Lux
Lux is already a very safe, high damage champion, that is very popular as support. She got a damage buff on her E that will kick in in the mid and late game. Her poke capabilities will be even better, and she can one-shot most AD Carry champions with ease.
Ziggs
With the buffs to Ziggs' Q and R, we might see him rise as poke support. I did not want to include Ziggs on the mid-lane because it might be a sleeper pick, but many players have shifted to more damage-oriented supports like Lux or Brand. Ziggs might be joining this lineup, especially with the buff to his R. He might have a huge potential in the fights around the Dragon objective.
LOL Patch 11.12 Summary
We did not get any item changes, but we got a Mundo rework that will add some fresh experience into the top lane and perhaps jungle. Most of the champions will stay the same, it was not a major patch apart from Dr. Mundo's changes but we still can see a slight shift in the meta. These were The Best Champions in Patch 11.12 in my opinion.
