Finding specific characters can be a challenging task in Dragon Dogma 2, especially since the game gives only a few clues to do so. In particular, one side quest will task you with finding Rodge, a little boy who a pack of wolves has taken away. Although reaching him isn't hard, pinpointing his location can be a tough task, especially if you do not talk to the right NPCs. Hence, we've put together a guide explaining where to find Rodge in Dragon Dogma 2.
Where To Find Rodge in Dragon Dogma 2
Upon taking the Prey for the pack quest in Dragon Dogma 2, you'll be tasked with rescuing Rodge. This information will be given to you by his grandfather, Morris, who is an Apothecary in Checkpoint Rest Town. According to him, Rodge was taken away by a pack of wolves, and if no one goes to his rescue, his life might be in trouble. It's worth noting that this quest is time-sensitive, so you cannot wander away after the quest is triggered if you want to finish it. However, since this is a side quest, it's not mandatory to complete.
To find clues about Rodge, head to the town center, where you'll interact with three NPCs. Timothy will reveal that Rodge was carrying flowers before the wolves dragged him away, Jacint will reveal that Rodge takes care of a beautiful flower bed outside the town, and finally, Alsa will give a hint that specific flowers glow during the nighttime. Once you talk to all three NPCs, make your way to the gate at the north side of the town. Here, you'll come across Rikhard, who will give you the information that wolves can be found in Putrid Cave, east of the town.
After you talk to Rikhard, Putrid Cave's location will appear on the map, denoted by a yellow triangle. This is also where you'll find Rodge. Putting all the clues together, start your journey towards Putrid Cave. Keep in mind that you'll encounter various mobs on your path, so be battle-prepared. If you ever get sidetracked and are unable to reach your destination, just follow the trail of blue flowers on the ground, which should glow at night.
Once inside Putrid Cave, you should be able to find Rodge near the entrance. There could also be wolves nearby, which shouldn't be hard to defeat. Interact with him, and he'll tag along for a short journey back to Morris. It's worth noting that if you take too long to reach the Putrid Cave, you'll find bits and pieces of clothes instead of Rodge. Hence, it's best to save the game using an inn so you can attempt it again in case it fails.
