CTR Nitro-Fueled Power-Ups & Weapons

In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, the difference between first and second place isn't just about speed and steering skills - Power-Ups also play a huge role in who gets the trophy at the end of a race.

You collect Weapons and Power-Ups by smashing boxes along the Race Tracks (as well as in the Battle Arenas). When you have an item equipped, it appears in a box at the top of the screen. Successfully picking up and deploying (or defending against) weapons can shake up the rankings over the course of a race.

Juice Up Weapons with Wumpa Fruits!

Want to "juice up" your power-ups? Then don’t neglect to smash the slatted Wumpa Fruit crates along the track. Collect and hold 10 Wumpa Fruits, and all your power-ups and weapons become Juiced Up, making them even more powerful!

Power-Ups Bonus Tip

Finally, a little tip: you can stop the power-up "wheel" early by pressing the power-up button while it's spinning through the items. Immediately locking down a power-up can give you an advantage, especially if it’s something you can use to knock other players aside!

Note: If you tap the "power-up" button without a weapon equipped, a horn sound will play instead.
