Lost Valley Domain
If you have obtained Ayato from the current banner or would like to build Xiao from the previous banners, The Lost Valley is the domain to grind. This article will introduce the characters to bring to the domain and will outline the uses of the various artifact sets you can obtain from this domain. I would recommend only completing Level IV of this domain at AR45 and above to ensure that you can get more 5 star artifacts.
The Lost Valley is located in the new area, Chasm and can be unlocked by going to the God statue, you can fly down towards the domain from there. Kill the hilichurls around the common chest and place a Geo construct (use Geo traveller/Ningguang/Albedo/Zhongli's E). Then, turn around and head towards the rock with a pulsating light. Place another Geo construct on the peak of the rock and the Rock Pillar should break. This will allow you to go into the cave, earning you an achievement and unlocking the domain!
Resin Considerations
Given the nature of the 2-set benefits from this domain, it can be rather Resin efficient since many characters benefit from that 2-set. However, farming a new domain can be incredibly tiring when the RNG refuses to give good artifacts.
Recommendations
For all levels of the domain, there is a ley-line effect that deals true damage with a shockwave after characters use Elemental Skills. The recommended elements for this domain are Electro, Geo, Anemo and Pyro, but honestly, you can bring any elements. For all levels, the enemies are Ruin machines which can take any elemental or physical damage. However, do try to bring characters with low cooldown for elemental skills so more shockwaves can be released and you can complete the domain quickly.
Fortunately, the Ley Line Disorder of this domain does not have any drawbacks for bringing any elements, so as long as you can have healers, the domain should not be too challenging.
Artifact Sets
Martial Artist is also also a great set if you are just starting to play Genshin Impact - I often call it the budget Gladiator's set. The 2-set of Martial Artist gives an increase of 15% of normal and charged attack DMG. The Gambler set can be a good set for a Beginner's Sub DPS character, such as Fischl due to the 2-set benefit that increases Elemental Skill DMG. This works well on Oz for a Sub-DPS build and can be used as a replacement if you do not yet have a better set.
The Echoes of an Offering increases ATK by 18% in a 2-set. The 4-set has a luck mechanic, however, and can be rather troublesome. When Normal Attacks hit opponents, there is a 36% chance that it will increase Normal Attack DMG by 70% of ATK. This effect will be dispelled 0.05s after a Normal Attack deals DMG. If a Normal Attack fails to trigger increased ATK, the odds of it triggering the next time will increase by 20%. This trigger can occur once every 0.2s. Effectively, this means that you will need to hit 5 times maximum to guarantee the increased DMG. The buff of normal attack DMG can be used on Ayato (since his E skill is considered as NA) or Yoimiya.
The 2-set increases the ATK by 18%. For the 4-set, after using an Elemental Burst, the character will gain increased ATK by 8% for 16s. When the character's HP decreases, their ATK will further increase by 10%. This increase can occur this way a maximum of 4 times. This effect can be triggered once every 0.8s. The effect will be dispelled when the character leaves the field. If an Elemental Burst is used again during this duration, the original ATK buff will be dispelled. I would recommend using it on Xiao due to his HP drain mechanic with his Ultimate. However, it might take very long to farm good sub-stats and main stats in this newly-released domain, so Xiao mains might want to stick to 2 Gladiators/Shimenawa set and 2 Viridescent Venerer set for now.
