Defender: Mt. Zaya

Defender: Mt. Zaya is a Co-Op Special Ops mission available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022).

A love letter to fans of survival modes, defend the observatory from increasingly difficult waves of enemies attempting to detonate bombs. Between each wave, Operators can spend cash to get items, such as Killstreaks, Self-Revive kits, and armor plates.

2 Stars: Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya while allowing 9 or fewer bombs planted

How to Complete Defender: Mt. Zaya in Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

The last Special Ops mission in Modern Warfare 2 at launch goes by the name of Defender: Mt. Zaya. Here is how to beat it!

The mission starts on the chopper with you crash-landing on the observatory compound. There will be plenty of weapons to choose from where you can equip anything you want, refill your ammo, purchase turrets, reinforcements, and more.

You start with 4000 points and every item costs more. Your first objective is to go and clear the bunker area. You get points for every kill you get. Be careful because they might flank you, and surprise you and the A.I. works pretty nicely in all of these Special Ops missions.

It plays more like a tower defense than a point A to B mission. After securing the bunker you need to prepare for the enemy reinforcements. The entire map is basically Dome from Modern Warfare 3 from over a decade ago. Your job is now to defend three hardpoints against six waves of enemies.

Place turrets in strategic places, and position yourself somewhat hidden to avoid getting shot at from every direction. You will see the enemy counter under the map on the left.

Each wave will be harder and require you to use your reflexes to their limits. After defeating the last and sixth wave the Defender: Mt. Zaya mission will end automatically.
